Netherby Hall, Longtown, Cumbria

A complex multi-faceted and phased masterplanning project is ongoing at this Grade II* Listed Hall, formerly the country seat of the Grahams from C16th to 1989.

Listed Building Consents and Planning Approvals have been granted for works to windows in the Hall, reinstatement of the original stable block, new apartments in the North Wing, and for four new dwellings near the Walled Garden (as enabling development to assist with the long-term maintenance costs of the Estate). Detailed work leading to tender has now commenced.

A new ecologically sensitive garden will be planted in association with the new dwellings to complement and connect with the Victorian Ornamental Garden and Walled Garden.

Work is underway to obtain approvals for reinstatement of the Walled Garden to its former glory including installation of new glasshouses and refurbishment of attached buildings.
