Holy Cross Church, Ryton
English Heritage Grant was sought for relatively straightforward roof repairs and the relining of parapet gutters to this Grade I Listed church; more complex was the poor condition of masonry above the South wall of the Chancel and Nave and the renewal of the very tall Vestry chimney stack. Fine 19th Century stained glass windows have been taken out where necessary, repaired and refitted; some isothermally mounted in their reinstatement.
