English Heritage Holiday Cottage on Lindisfarne

English Heritage now have their very first holiday accommodation with wheelchair accessible facilities. We have converted the Coastguard’s Cottage on the remote island of Lindisfarne, Northumberland into a cottage which features an accessible bedroom with en-suite shower room and its own terrace with a staggering view of Lindisfarne Castle. The living space also leads on to a similar adjoining terrace. Two further bedrooms and a bathroom are on the first floor.

The cottage has appeared in the Guardian’s ‘Our festive 50 cottages’ as being one of the best for remoteness and great walks – ‘It would be hard to find a better antidote to the commercialism of Christmas than Lindisfarne ……The attractive whitewashed house is decorated with calming neutral tones and contemporary furnishings and has views of Lindisfarne Castle. It may not be cheap but its worth splashing out on.’

We are also working on nearby Lindisfarne Priory.
