Broomley Farmstead
Four new dwellings are provided in a Conservation Area through the conversion of a traditional Northumbrian farm complex. The external appearance of the existing buildings is virtually untouched but additional accommodation is provided in timber clad contemporary extensions with metal roofs, providing a clear distinction between new and old and allowing the historical development of the site to remain legible.
Planning approval was obtained through the Appeals process.
