New Build & Alteration

A new building requires careful consideration. We believe that not only must a building respond to it’s environment, it must satisfy the functional and often emotional needs of it’s owners. We have achieved much success working principally with sensitive or complicated infill sites where the constraints of the surroundings have called for imaginative solutions.

Intervention may be necessary in order to adapt a building to ensure it’s future usefulness. Conservation skills are necessary to understand how that building might respond to intervention and to make that intervention appropriate. As a practice we understand the technical challenges which historic buildings often present. We work with our clients to secure any necessary consents and to provide solutions which marry their needs with those of their building.
