latest News: For he’s our jolly good fellow ……

On 24 October Colin will formally receive his Fellowship of the Royal Town Planning Institute. He was elected on 6 September. Chartered Fellowship is the highest professional membership grade available to a planner, and his nominees’ comments show that Colin is held in high regard.

The citation states that it has been agreed that his contribution to others in the profession and the community at a regional, national and international level has been strongly demonstrated with these examples:
• Multiple examples of sharing planning knowledge and promoting the profession, such as through contributions to the London Mayor’s Design Advisory Group;
• Chairman’s role of the panel which implemented continuing professional development requirements for RTPI members shows the significant impact of decision making on the profession;
• Voluntary work with the RTPI continues with roles on the Institute’s Board of Trustees and Membership and Ethics Committee.

Colin is a Past President of the Royal Town Planning institute (PPRTPI).

I joined the practice in the 1980’s. It was known then as a practice of integrity and professionalism, creating quality designs through friendly personal service. What has changed? Workload is slightly different now, responding over the years to shifting economic conditions, new concerns about climate change and client expectations, but our underlying philosophy about the way we choose to work remains the same.
